Was Kevin Laheen Cremated to destroy his DNA?

Kevin Laheen SJ was cremated—an extremely rare choice for a Jesuit, as cremation is generally avoided within the Order. The decision to cremate raises serious questions, particularly given that cremation destroys majority, but not all recoverable DNA.

If there is a surviving child as a result of rape, as has been speculated, a paternity match would still be possible through DNA. While Irish law does not permit exhumation for paternity alone, it does allow it in the investigation of serious crimes such as rape or murder. Even when a person has been cremated, DNA fragments can always be retrieved from the urn. If Laheen’s remains were intentionally destroyed to obstruct justice, that would be a further grave matter. The Jesuits may claim 'space' but we know their MO is deny, deny, deny followed by lie upon lie.

This is not a standalone concern. The Jesuits at 35–36 Leeson Street, Dublin 2—the epicenter of a decades-long institutional cover-up of Kevin Laheen SJ—must answer for their role. For over 58 years, reports of child abuse, rape, and coercion by Kevin Laheen were buried under a culture of crimimal cover up and collusion. Laheen was not just a predator; he was protected. There are reports of Laheen moving little children around Dublin in his Jesuit vehicle, with petrol paid for by The Jesuits.

Kevin Laheen SJ transported children in his Jesuit vehicle—acts that, under modern legal and human rights definitions, qualify as child trafficking.

On Thursday, March 28th, 2024, between 2–4pm, as Kevin Laheen lay reposing in Milltown, Leonard Maloney SJ, the then head of the Irish Jesuits, was present. During that time, he allegedly approached the eldest child of Dolores Meagher and “thanked him for his discretion regarding Baby Kevin”—a reference to a concealed child—over the past 54 years.

Let there be no misunderstanding: this is not a historical matter. Kevin Laheen may be dead, but those who protected him remain alive, active, and institutionally shielded. Their silence and ongoing complicity are as insulting as the February 2024 PDF issued by Shane Daly SJ—a document that named only a limited number of Jesuit priests while still harbouring and protecting others.

This is not accountability. This is containment.

The clergy members involved in these cover-ups must be investigated immediately for their roles in what clearly amounts to a concealed, long-term child trafficking operation, run with the knowledge and protection of those at the highest levels of the Jesuit Order. Its headquarters? 35–36 Leeson Street, Dublin 2.

The survivors deserve more than vague apologies and half-truths. They deserve justice—and it must start now.

The current head of the Jesuits, Shane Daly SJ, along with his predecessor Leonard Maloney SJ, must be brought before the criminal courts and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. These men are not distant historical figures—they are living individuals who, through silence, concealment, and calculated deflection, continue to protect abusers and obstruct justice.

They are not spiritual leaders—they are collusional fixers, and they remain deeply embedded in the very structure that enabled decades of child abuse and trafficking. Their actions, and inaction, have prolonged the suffering of survivors and shielded known predators from accountability.

Justice delayed is justice denied. The time for hiding behind robes, titles, and PDFs is over. Let them answer for what they’ve done—and what they’ve chosen to ignore.

Anyone with information about Kevin Laheen SJ or the activities linked to 35–36 Leeson Street is urged to come forward. Submissions may be made anonymously. Jesuits who cooperate in exposing the truth may be granted limited leniency in any future proceedings, but the window is closing. The plan is to fully map out the extent of Laheen's movements and "fixers".

Even in cases of cremation, it is possible to extract limited DNA fragments from the urn. Moreover, Glasnevin’s cremation records can confirm who was cremated immediately before and after, allowing any potential cross-contamination to be addressed and excluded.

Given the volume of allegations against Laheen, including systemic abuse of very tiny little children over several decades, the decision to cremate—effectively eliminating key forensic evidence—must be scrutinized. Anyone with information about Kevin Laheen or the Jesuit cover-ups linked to Leeson Street is urged to come forward. Anonymous submissions are welcome, and individuals within the Jesuit Order who cooperate early may be granted limited leniency in future criminal proceedings.

The era of impunity is ending. Justice is coming.

A huge thank you to Glasnevin Cemetary for complete co-operation with this matter. Kevin Laheen is buried in JH24 St Brigids Mass Jesuit Grave, and while The Jesuits may claim space was an issue, it has been confirmed the cremation was to most likely to minimise DNA evidence.
